This article will describe how the recruitment workflow works in Martian Logic.
Recruitment Workflows (Stop and Progress Buttons)
Against each application you will have the stop and progress buttons. If we look at Sam’s application for the HR Officer job we can see the two buttons.
If you do not see these options you’re probably viewing the candidate’s profile rather than their application for a job.
Sam’s candidate profile for instance found in Candidates -> Candidate Search will not show the stop and progress buttons.
You’ll notice at we do not see the stop and progress buttons. This is because we are looking at Sam’s profile and not his job application. If we click on the application history tab we can see each job he has applied for.
Sam has applied for two jobs with us, HR Officer and HR Manager. We are going to process his application for the HR Officer application. If you click on the job ID/link it will open Sam’s application for the HR Officer role.
We will now see the stop and progress options again.
If we click on the progress button we will see the stages involved in the workflow.
Underneath each stage name like “Just Applied” will be bullet point indicating if an action or automatic email is triggered when you progress a candidate to that stage. For example with the above screen shot:
- Just Applied – Will automatically send an email to the candidate denoted by “Auto Send”
- Phone Screen – Will open an e-form for the user to complete against the candidate denoted by “E-Form”
- 1st & 2nd Interview – Will open a window to schedule an interview with the candidate denoted by “Interview”
- Reference Check - Will automatically email the candidate the requesting their referee details to begin the reference checking process denoted by “Reference Check”
In the stop button we will also see some stages with Auto send emails and some without.
Be aware if you move a candidate into a stage with an Auto Send email, it will be automatically sent there is not way to cancel it.
