How to Setup Reference Check Process

Setting up the Reference Check Module

To create a reference check process, go to user settings, then 'Reference Checks', then create a new reference check process.

Type the name of the reference check, then click on the plus icon to create a referee reference form for the candidate in ‘Step 1: Referee Nomination’ section.

Enter a name for this form. Then press enter on your keyboard.

By default, a referee field will appear in the form automatically. Just like in previous tutorials, you can edit this field name.

You can add more referees if needed by clicking on ‘New Question’, then choose ‘Candidate References’ field.

Once you are happy with the form, close the form and create an email for the candidate when they receive this form. To do so, click on the plus button in the email section.

A side window will appear and this is where you will edit the email contents. In this top section, you can edit the description which is just the email template name. You can edit the subject of the email as well as the reply to email should a candidate reply to this email. Then add your logo / branding as well to show in the email.

This bottom section is the email body that the candidate will receive.

You can also add tags to the email if you wish.

Once you are happy with the email, click on save template.

Now, you will need to create a questionnaire form for the Referee’s that the candidates provide. Click on the plus button, enter the form name, and press enter on your keyboard.

The referee details will appear automatically in this field for the referee that has been provided.

From here, it is up to you to add in any questions that you ask the referee. Just like a form, add in your questions via ‘New Question’ or ‘Pick from library’.

If you create a new question, an additional feature the reference check module can do is to add tags in the question.

Once happy with the form, create an email for the referees to receive by clicking on the plus button in the email sections.

Tick this checkbox if you would like to send the referees their questions automatically.

When everything is complete, click on ‘Create Process’.
