As an Admin/HR Level user you can configure the applicable remuneration details for the roles in your library.
You can assign remuneration details to each of your roles in Martian Logic if you wish. Go to Org Chart -> Positions and click on the name of the roles.
Expand the engagement section. To set the remuneration details for employees click on select engagement type and then select employee.
After you select employee you can decide what type of remuneration details you would like to apply to the position. Enter the pay data on the go is what you use for non award/EBA based employees (common law), Load predefined pay data will let you use your agreement data. (See Create EBA/Award Data UAT task for more information).
Load Predefined Pay Data
If you select load predefined pay data you will need to first select the agreement you would like to use. In this example we will use our Enterprise Agreement.
We will now select our job family/classification, we will use the Admin job family in our example.
We will also select all 5 levels in our Admin job family. This means as a business we employee HR Officers between level 1 and level 5.
We will now set up the employment types we hire HR Officers under. We are going to hire for Permanent Full Time, Fixed Term Part Time and Casual HR Officers in this example.
When you select permanent full time you should see the some of the data from your agreements come through like full time hours per period etc. For information about this data see the Add Agreement Data UAT task. If you’re happy with the hours and weeks just click save.
Then setup the other employment types. When you’re finished you should be left with something like the below. To summarise we have assigned the following remuneration/engagement details to our HR Officer position; it falls under the agreement called “Enterprise Agreement” in the “Admin” job family/classification and it employees can be paid between Level 1 – Level 5.
Enter the pay data on the go (Common Law)
In this example we will configure the HR Officer position to enter the pay data on the go
We just need to select “Enter pay data on the go”. then select the employment types we would like employ HR Officers as just like before.
Since we are not using our agreements we will need to enter the full time hours per period , period option and weeks in a year at a minimum to create our employment type. If you’re unsure about weeks in a year check with your payroll team.
In this example we are using 76 hours fortnightly and 52.18 weeks in a year.
When you’re finished adding your employment types you should be left with something like the below.
